Mid-Spring Film Update

Crowds listen to the filmmaker Q&A at the private screening of “Remembering Us.”

After 22 months, we are happy to say that we are wrapped on all production of “Remembering Us,” a 35-minute short film we produced with BS Filmworks.

Last weekend, co-writer/director Scott Takeda hosted a private cast-and-crew screening of the film at Denver Film Society’s Sie Film Center. The main cast traveled from LA and New Mexico to be part of the filmmaker Q&A, and more than 170 people packed the sold-out theater.

“My co-writer/director Lori Kay Allred and I are so humbled by everyone who helped us produce this film,” said Takeda. “It was impressive to look up into the audience and see all the cast and crew as well as friends and family who pitched in along the way.”

One of the last minute additions to the creative team is Emmy-winning colorist Brian DeHererra-Schnering who provided his magic touch to the final color on the film.

The film now starts its festival run through the remainder of 2019 and into the first part of 2020.
