Takeda Entertainment Wins “Best-of-show” Gold TElly

It was just announced that Takeda Entertainment won a very rare Gold Telly Award in the 2023 Telly Awards. This is for a corporate video titled “Ann’s Story” produced for Roche Diagnostics. This is equivalent to a “Best of Show” honor.

“Holy cow!” exclaimed director Lori Kay Allred. “We are through the moon. We’ve just notified the agency, the client and the team. Everyone is so excited. Honestly, this was a very quick turn project. I think we had a couple weeks to turn it. We were just doing what we always do, trying to find the human angle of every story. Many thanks to the National Telly Awards and the judges. We are really grateful.”

Telly Award winners are graded on a point scale by their Judging Council — leading experts from top ad agencies, television networks and production companies. Traditionally the Silver Telly is the top prize with the winner averaging at least a 9.0 out of 10 points. Bronze Telly winners average 8.0 to 8.9 out of 10 points. Five years ago, the National Telly Awards introduced a “Best of Show” Gold Telly for those who graded out at a 10 out of 10.

This year was the 44th annual National Telly Awards, recognizing the best television and video produced around the world. This year, they received more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents. This year’s winners included entries from Disney, ESPN, Netflix, Paramount, PBS, NASA, and National Geographic.

This is Takeda Entertainment’s first Gold Telly and our 37th total.
