Takeda plays villian in indie film

This month, TV/Film actor Scott Takeda begins principal photography on thriller feature film Assassins' Code (formerly "Serpent Rising") starring John Savage (The Deer Hunter, Godfather Part III), Martin Kove (Karate Kid), and Korean mega star Min-su Choi.

Takeda plays Techie, the computer-hacker, right-hand-henchman of a North Korean assassin. The film follows these assassins as they battle a former CIA agent who tries to withdraw to a quiet life of normalcy.

“Shooting this film has been a blast because it’s an action thriller,” said Takeda. “Yesterday, I got to fight John Savage who plays one of the good agents. The stunt coordinator allowed us to do our own stunts in the fight sequences. So John and I threw each other around the set for six hours. I’m a little bruised and sore, but nothing a deep soak won’t fix.”

Assasins' Code is scheduled to be released internationally and on DVD this fall.
