Spring News – Awards, judging and Grammys (oh my!)

Some quick Spring news:
Festival Win – We’re popping the champagne again. Our short film “The Outsider“ just won Best Editing at the Milledgeville-Eatonton Film Festival. Scott Takeda and Brock Sherman were co-editors for this short film. Regularly reviewed as a Top-100 Festival by Film Freeway, the Milledgeville-Eatonton Film Festival attracts top industry speakers including Oscar-nominated producer Rachel Winter (Dallas Buyers Club), producer-screenwriter Jesse Zwick (Parenthood & Nashville), and Disney’s Director of Production David Hartle. For the third straight year, the festival also asked Takeda to serve as a panelist.
New York Festivals Juror – For the ninth straight year, the New York Festivals have asked director Scott Takeda to judge entries in their International Television and Film Awards. He joined award-winning directors, producrs, screenwriters from around the globe on the Grand Jury Panel that includes people from HBO (US), The Edge Picture Company (UK), Film Majic Ltd (Hong Kong), and NBC International (Spain).
International Juror – Additionally, Takeda judged the latest entries in the Telly Awards. Now in his tenth year on the Telly Award Judging Council, a group of more than 200+ working industry leaders who have won the Telly’s top award over the past 39 years. In previous years, Takeda has also judged the Emmys and the BMA’s national B2 Awards.
Grammy Nod – Long-time TEI composer Matthew Head received a Grammy nomination for the music he composed for the OWN Network series “Greenleaf” where he serves as music director. Congrats Matthew!
