Takeda Entertainment Begins Production on 2018 Film
Posted on January 22, 2018
This month, Takeda Entertainment teams up with BS Filmworks to begin filming our latest short film – this one helmed by Scott Takeda and Lori Kay Allred. This latest film is a drama titled “Remembering Us,” about Takeda’s 2016 traumatic brain injury. Our cameras will begin shooting next month around the Denver area.
“Once again we’re taking a universal story and putting our own personal spin on it” said Allred. “This one is about the stigma that comes when people suffer a traumatic injury and how that affects not only the patient but also all of the caregivers: the family and friends who help the patient through recovery.”
“With this film, both Lori and Scott are revealing a very painful moment in their life,” said producer Brock Sherman. “I’m really grateful, we’ve lined up the cast we have to bring this story alive.”
Our cast includes two veteran TV actors to play the leads: actress Dani Payne best known for her costarring turn on NBC’s “The Night Shift” and Mike Ostroski (ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder” and “Breaking Bad”). Our director Scott Takeda (NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” and FX’s “The Americans”) is also cast in a supporting role. Producers are holding auditions to fill out the remaining cast.
When we start shooting, our crew will include our long-time Emmy-winning cinematographer Dave Klein, field audio mixer Slade Williamson, makeup artist Jessica Chynoweth, and PA Shannon Hill-Smith.
